Movies from Asia have been getting a bad wrap for quite some time. When the movie "The Ring" was shown to American audiences and it being a Suspense/Horror/Thriller that no one had seen before, it shook up audiences everywhere it went. Each of these films tell amazing stories, regardless of the subject matter, and I recommend them to anyone who wants to see really good storytelling.

Not all movies from the famous "City Of Lights" are romantic or sexual, as you can see from my listing. When it comes to suspense, they know how to keep the audience on pins and needles. Along with Japan, they too have some films that would leave anyone's mouth agape and make the liquid that keeps your brain afloat start to boil. Something to keep in mind, is that stories are not always told in a straight line.

Movies from the UK are awesome. From what I've gathered from others who weren't British, was that British Humor is "dry" or "directed mainly at the Brits". While there may be some truth to that, Their colorful metaphors sometimes replacing a comma in a sentence...Some say that the Scottish people are tough to understand. I haven't noticed.

Now, I know there are movies from Spain, and Brazil, but what I didn't know just how deep, romantic, and violent films from the South American area can be! Movies like Box 507, where vengeance is metered out in precise doses. Vanilla Sky is just a remake of Open Your Eyes, and City Of God is such a mesmerizing tale.
