Better. Badder. Faster. Jason Statham is back as Frank Martin in Transporter 2
TRANSPORTER 2 • September 2, 2005 • Opening Night

There are rules. Rules for everything. Rules of the game, rules in school, rules of the road, and it seems rules run our lives. And for some people that's a good thing, and a bad thing. Take my friend, Frank Martin for example. He's got a reputation for having rules. Rules that you'll see yourself in Luc Besson's: Transporter 2. Let me bring you up to speed on what you need to know about our friend Frank. For those of you who haven't heard of the first Transporter movie, please check my list of "Must See Movies", and See THAT first. Done? Okay, now that you know about Frank, his skills, and his capabilities, let's talk about this awesome sequel.

Frank has left the sexy French Rivera for the Stateside shores of Miami (think CSI: Miami) where he's become a driver for a very wealthy family. He drive's their son to and from school and is his bodyguard. The little boy's family is having marital problems and the wife sees Frank as a confidant. It isn't until Frank takes the little tyke to the doctor's office, when things start to go awry from there. If you remember the previous movie, you'll know that the action is action packed. The car chases are deftly handled, and the bad guy behind it all is definitely not someone you mess with.

There is an assassin who wears these bright red pumps, and has our friend Frank get into some sticky situations. And to make sure the that the authorities are at bay, Frank's old buddy from France, the Police Inspector (from the first movie) is coming to visit him! The action is non-stop, just like the first one. Me being me, I liked the European location a bit more. Everyone in the first movie was from either the UK, France, or China. I loved that. This one, shot here in the states.... it was okay. I think that was my only "gripe" really. Everything else was AWESOME.

I am SO happy that Luc Besson did a second movie, and it was different than the first one in some ways, and similar in others. But I love how the story flowed, the pacing was excellent, the cinematography was hot as well. The fight scenes were breathtaking. You get to hear all the bone-breaking, and nothing was left out. Those of you who haven't seen the first one, will still be able to see this one and enjoy it. I recommend seeing the first one so you get the full effect. Rule 1. See Transporter, Rule 2. See Transporter 2, Rule 3. E-mail me your thoughts on it, and Rule 4. Fasten your seatbelts, because you're in for one hell of a ride! YES!
