Your life will be televised, and Alan Hakman (Robin Williams) is the editor in The Final Cut.
CHEF! (BBC TV Series)

Ever wonder what the BEST food on the planet must taste like? Where would it be from? There's no doubt that' it'd be expensive, and to those of us who want the VERY best cuisine, there's only one place... well, according to The "Chef De Cuisine" Gareth Blackstock, there is only one place. Le Chateau Anglais.

Gareth Blackstock (played by Lenny Henry), a two Michelin Star Chef, who doesn't just cook (as you'll often hear him say), he creates the best French cuisine in all of England. He and his lovely (and I do mean lovely) wife Janice are trying to buy the Chateau, so they can run it themselves. Going to talk to the Bank Manager (most likely to see about a loan of some sort), keeping the current staff, obtaining more, experienced staff, finding key ingredients, dealing with the press, TV shows ("only a little 'docco'"), and various other obstacles. All the while, you'll be laughing. Don't be fooled though, this show does have it's tender moments as well. You will come to feel for every character, and every situation they manage to get themselves into.

One thing you can be certain of, and that's Gareth's temper. It's razor sharp, and it will strike at any moment. The only thing that can stop his tirade Janice. She's the only one who can put out his fireball of a temper. Everton, one of Gareth's schoolmates also comes and works at the Chateau, Gustav is a chef in his own right... when he can manage to stay away from the booze. Savannah is an American transplant who brags about her days in L.A., and it just snowballs from there! There's plenty of other characters that you'll come across in this series. I'll leave them out of this review, because you know I don't like to spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet.

I've been watching this series for a few years on PBS, and it's always funny, and the situations that Gareth, Janice and the lot get into are just hilarious. This is a British TV series that has recently been put on DVD. There's three DVDs total, containing all the episodes. Trust me, it's worth the money to own the DVD set, because you'll be too busy laughing!
